NATIONAL NIGHT OUT COMES TO STAR RANCH!
6:00pm to 9:00pm - National Night Out (NNO) is a Neighborhood Watch
program which is observed in Texas in the form of Block Parties, which
give neighbors a chance to get better acquainted, and to create a spirit
of watchfulness regarding prowlers, intruders and break-in prevention.
Tuesday, October 5 is the date for NNO in our area, and for the second
successive year, Star Ranch will be the only community in McDade
participating in the event. In an effort to increase our presence in
the immediate area, we’ll be inviting residents along Brown Road to come
to our Block Party, which will be from 6-9 PM that night. Refreshments
will be served, and a two-part program will consist of:
* Our own Paul G (who is an alumnus of the Bastrop
County Sheriff’s Office Citizen Academy) will make a presentation on the
pro-active efforts which their Alumni are involved in as civilians to curb
crime in Bastrop County. If anyone is at all interested in doing their
part as a citizen to assist local Law Enforcement, this Alumni Association
is the place to be. Paul will explain how the class works, and what
is involved in enrolling.
* A Sheriff Department spokesperson will speak on Sexual Assault, and
Child Sexual Assaults in particular. It has been established that registered
sex offenders reside in the McDade area, and now that school has started, all
members of our community should have an interest in this threat.
To be held in Tara Hall, this clothed event will be a great
chance for Star Ranch residents and members to meet and greet our neighbors
from “up the road.” Every effort will be made to encourage Brown Road folks
to attend, and the program will certainly have something for everyone.
Plan to be here on October 5, and you will become armed with knowledge to
help prevent crime in the Star Ranch area. Every member has a vested interest
in our mutual safety and awareness.
RENEW YOUR WEDDING VOWS IN THE NUDE!

Here is an opportunity for a married couple to renew their vows in a
truly unique setting----with other nude couples at the family-oriented
Star Ranch located at McDade, Texas.
Registration fee includes a Certificate of Renewal and two colorful
T-Shirts:
“We ReNUDE our Vows at Star Ranch October 9, 2010.”
This ceremony will be the highlight of AANR-Southwest’s Fall Fun Fest,
which will welcome nudists from this region. It is always a special
occasion to renew wedding vows, and this setting will be set in a
pleasant autumn outdoor private environment, with family and friends
present.
